This will really be nothing new. Grady has always been a money losing hospital it seems. They are always looking for a handout it seems, threatening to close in past years, iirc.
Health insurance should be outlawed. It destroys health care.
Georgia turned down expansion of Medicaid which is great! Georgia will be better off overall!
Overpriced medical care in the USA is a direct result of private or public health insurance and way too much of the costs going to those not providing actual health care.

The root cause is lawyers enriching them selves by suing ever doctor that moves. The legal assumption that medicine is a perfect science and any deviation from perfection is subject to money damages is the problem.
From that premise grows innumerable branches of costs that are in effect defense attorney court room evidenciary statements needed to educate an ignorant jury intent on hanging the doctor or hospital

That is EXACTLY what the unaffordable don’t give a damn act is designed to do, the only mystery is why anyone ever thought otherwise. I really cannot understand how we have descended to the level that we have. We dropped the voting age to 18 when we should have been raising it to 50 and eliminating anyone who is not a self supporting citizen able to read, write and understand the constitution. Of course that last part would mean that most of our judges, including half of the Supremes, would not be allowed to vote.

Those are the fools who THOUGHT they wanted Obamacare. They really only wanted an imaginary version that never existed. It was astounding to me to see how many actually thought they would get FREE HEALTHCARE! Apparently some still do.
They need to hire the wife of some unqualified junior senator to a six figure no show job. Then the federal money will keep rolling in.

That is the goal. Obamacare is the tool to destroy the current health care establishment and create demand for single-payer socialized medicine.

I forget which slimeball commie Dem said that right after passing Obamacare, but it was obvious he was telling supporters to be patient and that Obamacare was an interim step to getting full blow socialized medicine.

I agree. Let patients pay doctors and hospitals directly and the market would set the pirces. Hospitals and doctors can then offer payment plans to low income folks and collect the majority of what cannot be paid right away.

The free market would soon level the playing field of value in medical services if they stripped out the middlemen players.
The insurance companies just like Wall St are siphoning off the wealth of the USA in a corrupt game that they refer to as financial services. It means the few get big cuts of big deals in their casino, and produce relatively nothing of worth, while those who produce real stuff that benefits society and makes it more secure get the crumbs.
Advertising, Wall St, Hollywood playing pretend, celebrity status gained by using taxpayer funded facilities and the lawyers too. The system is corrupt while these players sold out our economy to the Chinese Commies, Mexico and etc.
