During recent comments to members of the Boston Bar Association, officials from the Department of Children and Families indicated that Massachusetts will no longer allow individuals with conservative social values to raise foster children.
In a video of the address, recruitment officer Michelle Gordon described “new expectations” of foster parents, explaining that the DCF is in the process of “weeding out some of this passiveness and sort of destructive behaviors that are occurring.”
Gay rights activist Erika Rickard, who serves on the Commission on LGBT Youth, claimed that two in every 10 foster children are gay. As a result, she said, foster parents must be “supportive” of that lifestyle by offering “welcoming and affirming homes.”
Prospective caregivers in the state are already required to take classes every year to learn more about sexual deviancy. Rickard, along with others on the panel, feel that Massachusetts leaders should do more to make sure foster parents all walk in leftist lockstep.
Tolerance is no longer enough, the speakers agreed, indicating that those who care for a foster child must show “proper support” of his or her particular sexual identity.

So where does the 2 of 10 number come from and what are the parameters?
I have seen the 20% of the population is homosexual claim for at least 20 years now and there is never any proof offered of the stat.
I would also challenge the stat another way if it were true: How many of them are that way because they were sexually abused by liberal foster parents? I have an acquaintance who is homosexual and have known a couple of others (They are over represented in certain areas of academia) all of them but one had bizarre family backgrounds
Well, at least they're on record as being freaks.
The number I always heard was 10% and I never really believed that.
In my entire lifetime I have only known four openly gay people. And one of those I only found out was gay years after I met him.
So with have known hundreds of people I only know four and yet they are supposed to represent 10 to 20 percent of the population. I guess I lead a very isolated existence.
But I guess I am a narrow minded conservative. After all being Liberal means never having to substantiate your claims.
Only about 2 out of a hundred people in society are homosexual, so how are 20% of foster children that way? Is she lying or is that a recruiting ground?

Let's be brutally honest here. "Compassionate conservatism" is a lot of crap, folks.
I want the same freedom to be me that the “LGBT” want, and what I am is a conservative Catholic. I want everyone to jump back when I announce it too and say “that’s cool” just like the “LGBT” wants. And I want everybody to respect my lifestyle choice of sex only in sacramental marriage.

As soon as a Christian is denied being a foster parent they should sue. This is pure discrimination. They’d be outraged if it was suggested that a foster parent shouldn’t be gay.
...that’s the way liberals play the game. If the Supreme Court decided it is ok to discriminate then you know the country is broken and lunatics are running the show. Freedom of religion has gone out the window.
You cannot defend the governments in that section of the country... or the left coast for that matter. Not the people... the evil governments that rule like Nazis.

I was condemning the shallow train of thought that sometimes seems to permeate people that the problem of liberalism is somehow limited to the northeast or West coast.
It ISN’T.
Even the great state of Texas is corrupted with it.
Thinking you can build a moat and wall liberalism off is a sure-fire recipe to guarantee its spread. It it the equivalent of sticking your head in the sand with a smug false sense of superiority.
