I agree with you, it is a mess.

The GOP unfortunately does not seem to have a plan currently, to improve US healthcare.

Where is the GOP on this important issue?

That's because it's not within the federal government's constitutional authority. You really don't give a damn about the Constitution, do you?

Do you think its possible for the GOP to do anything about Medicare and EMTALA in the current political environment? Medical malpractice laws? Hell they can't even stop the debt limit from being increased every year.

Government screwed up the entire industry. Having them take it over entirely can hardly be expected to help. Its not logical to think they will improve things.

Our Emergency rooms are open to all....no one is turned away. We subsidize hospitals. We're paying a sh** load because of free loaders. And yet, no one should be turned away. We are a compassionate people.

Improve healthcare?? Stop feeding people pills and saying come back in two weeks and two weeks and two weeks.....

You seem sympathetic to the current thrust of socialism.

I’ve been paying ~$1,500/month for health care for years. $2k deductibles. Liberty comes first. Dump Obamacare!!!

Over the past few years, I’ve heard many Republicans say they had a bill ready that addressed capping lawsuits, the ability to purchase out of state in order to have competition between companies, portable policies that would stay with you with job changes, having group policies available for self employed plumbers, electricians, etc., and dims refused to consider it at all.

I especially like portability and competition between insurance companies myself and believe they are good solutions - or at least a start. Portability would go a long way in addressing the problems that arise with pre-existing conditions.

The issue of those who frequent ERs for colds and other such nonsense would have to be addressed.
