I know WWII vets—My Dad happens to be one—Pacific Theatre.
Were he able to travel, he would go to the memorial solely to be arrested by the NPS “Police.”
My grandfather was a WWII vet - Atlantic and Pacific theatre (USS CARD). He went home to God in 1997, but were he still alive he would go just to get arrested as well and I may go for him for the same reason.
