It's hard to keep up with the mind-numbing flood of putrid malfeasance gushing from Barack Obama (or whatever his name is), the communist Democrats and the detestable "RINO" Republicans in Congress. And while we try to monitor the constant barrage of lies, anti-Americanism and criminal behavior of these people, it's easy to lose sight of what's going on at the state and local levels. Who has time to chronicle everything?
So, it's no surprise that living down here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, I missed news of the June mayoral election up in our state capital, Jackson. While I can easily understand how people across the nation who don't live in Mississippi might ignore this story, it is nevertheless something you should note and watch. The election is quite remarkable, because the people of Jackson, apparently aiming to become a junior Detroit of the South, have chosen as their mayor a radical black supremacist Democrat, Chokwe Lumumba (pronounced: Sho-quay Luh-MOOM-buh). The 66-year-old Lumumba was born Edwin Taliaferro in Detroit but later changed his name.
Here in Mississippi, we have a conservative majority among residents; however, the population of Jackson is roughly 80 percent black and 20 percent white, and we know that a stupefying majority of black people blindly support Democrats, regardless of the Democrats' evil, destructive policies

Chokwe Lumumba actually means 'dances with chickens' in Swahili.
The Black community are the most racist group in the country today therefore the Black community elects other Black racists/self loathing Whites.
Simple as that.
Cities will not be the place to live for the next few decades, I think. Can anyone name a city that has been dominated by black politicians that hasn’t been a civil or financial mess?
Blacks are for a great deal nazist. Like the muslims. And they overlap.
Gonna be problems.
We all know what the forced solution will be.
Which is why the Obamadork, the Holderfelon, and the Kerrygigolo are desperately trying to remove guns from the populace.
In the interim, the productive folks will move out and the Obamafone owners will demand more welfare.
And - sooner or later, the system goes non-linear and we’ll need those weapons.
I’m confused why this is surprising. Next you’ll be surprised that he is taking bribes and kickbacks.
He’s been under a lot of stress, you know...
He’ll need disability payments while he serves time...
And the sad irony is that it's all due to relentless liberal propaganda.
You can begin by electing people by their real name.
Would a separate new Black nation in the South mean no further checks from what remains of the US in his scheme? Maybe the new government can just print money in the current US fashion?
The Mississippians I have met over the years are, on the whole, a very gentle and polite and giving people, and I can see how a demagogue - of any color - with a band of true believers could get out of hand before the general population ever reacted, however appalled they might be.
Which gets us to the self loathing Whites problem...
Thanks to the West’s adoption of multiculturalism, we are now once again a tribal world. Whites are the only ones who haven’t figured that out yet.
We’ll pay until we do.
I am from Jackson, own rental property there and there is so much more to the story — and yes, it gets worse. Chockwe did not run in the general against a white republican...the way it works in Jackson, the top two candidates run off if nobody is over 50% in the primary...Lumumba ran against a well respected black businessman/democrat (they do exist). The fact that the vast majority of whites backed the man was used against him—it was a very racist campaign by Lumumba...and it worked...
Very sad...
Is the 80/20 split reported by the earlier poster correct in your view?
About right I think. Lots of white flight to Madison, ridgeland, Brandon, etc. flight has been occurring for at least 15 years. This latest election may speed it up.
