Apparently the cops knew where NOT to go ...
I wonder if the SUV driver, instead of getting off at 178 st and getting stuck in traffic, high-tailed it across the Washington Bridge, maybe the Pt Authority cops and NJ state troopers could've intervened?

“You wish you were young and out having fun like these free spirits”

I had fun on motorcycles when I was young but I never white-lined the opposing traffic lanes.

This kid is also listed as aspiring rapper...I kid you not. He is black Hispanic unlike George Zimmerman,
And his dad is a preacher. Nice.

I always heard preachers’ kids are the worst.

Yes as immortalized by the late great Dusty Springfield. Seriously, this incident goes way beyond young love.

Not that familiar with the area but looking at the video it shows that he was stopped just before the bridge exit and in getting away after that attack went to the center lane avoiding a bike blocking the exit.

They were also driving down the break down lanes.

The aspiring rapper:
Edwin E. Mieses, 26, of 17 Bernard Ave., Nov. 28, charged with operating a motor vehicle after license was revoked, illegal possession of a Class D narcotic, operating a motor vehicle with defective equipment and on five outstanding warrants;
Arrested Again in May, Since 1999, he has been ticketed by police 16 times, in Lawrence, Methuen, Roxbury, Andover, and New Hampshire, according to registry records.
In June, the Registry notified the National Driver Register that Mieses was a habitual traffic offender whose right to drive in Massachusetts was revoked until 2017, records show.”

But this was NY and he was turning his life around.

That’s what the wife riding shotgun is supposed to do. (Can I say that word in NYC?)

What word...???? Blow their ass away???

That is what my wife would be doing. Droping them like flies...

Hell, the guy is surrounded by a bunch of punks on bikes screwing with him. He does not know what their intentions are. Me, I am packing a .45 with 3 full mags and two 50 round boxes in the BOB, decision for me is easy. I do not know about this guy. His weapon is a 3000 lb suv....use it. His family comes first.

“You wish you were young and out having fun like these free spirits”

Definitely “free” spirits.

No license. No tags. No payments for tickets.

Having experienced these gangs in Baltimore on two occasions, I can assure you they are not exuberant Hispanics out for a good time. They use their mobility to cripple traffic and intimidate citizens.

They ride on sidewalks, run red lights, overtake intersections in order to do stunts, and are otherwise reckless. I saw one of these bikers run over an old black woman while sitting in her chair on her porch because she was yelling at the bikers to stop terrorizing the neighborhood.

These are not fun-time riders hitting the Tail of the Dragon for a weekend. They’re gangbangers on wheels.

Put down the bong, Dennis.

These are ‘free riders’, not Freedom Riders.

Like the PRI kids in Mexico. They could do what they wanted, when they wanted, where they wanted. No questions asked, no law enforced.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said the motorcyclists were participating in a periodic rally in which more than 1,000 bikers head for Times Square. He said police were caught by surprise by the unpermitted event last year but were aware it was taking place this year and "did a fair amount of enforcement" to break up the procession. There were 15 other arrests and 55 motorcycles confiscated, Kelly said.
