The way it looked to me in the video the bikers initiated the situation by surrounding the SUV and one in front deliberately slowing so as the car would hit him. At first it looks like the driver tries to pull over and do the right thing but the bikers appear to start attacking him and fearing for his wife, child and himself he just hits the gas to get away hitting the biker.

Are you referring to the biker who moved in front of the SUV and braked? That happens when you challenge multiple tons with a rice burner.
As a long time biker, IMO, he got what he deserved. HP greatly exceeded the IQs.

I'd do the same thing if a bunch of bikers surrounded my vehicle in a fit of road rage.
