Reid gives condescending reply to CNN’s Dana Bash over cancer research funding [VIDEO]
Daily Caller ^ | October 2, 2013 | Jeff Poor

.........But that led to a follow-up question from Bash, and a condescending reply from the Senate majority leader.

BASH: But if you can help one child who has cancer, why wouldn’t you do it?

REID: Why would we want to do that? I have 1,100 people at Nellis Air Force base that are sitting home. They have a few problems of their own. To have someone of your intelligence to suggest such a thing maybe means you’re irresponsible and reckless.

BASH: I’m just asking a question.

I’ve seen NO mention of this on political ‘reporting’ sites.
Rollcall, POLITICO... nothing.

Disgusting.

Whooaa! I smell a 2014 campaign comercial or two, if the Republicans have the cajones to use this.

Even Harry doesn’t get to insult the Praetorian Guard.

It’s not enough! Fundraising for Harry should be a 20 year minimum sentence...

Harry Reid says children must suffer for known flawed Obamacare funding. Film not at 11.

I also loved it that he said “who gave them the right to determine what gets funded or not”, referring to the House of Representatives, whose Constitutional role is to determine what gets funded or not.

Amazing!

First, although I think that it would be appropriate for the states to delegate to Congress, via the badly neglected Constitution, the specific power to tax and spend for cancer research, it remains that the states have never granted Congress the specific power to do so.

Also, although the states have only granted Congress the power to regulate, tax and spend for the US mail service where domestic issues are concerned, I thought it ironical that hypocrite Reid is complaining about the following. He actually complained about Boehner picking and choosing which parts of the federal government are going to be funded since Obamacare is going to pick and chose all decisions that people would otherwise want to make for themselves concerning their healthcare.

It also tells you what actually happened when Obama was first elected. We had two US Senators running against each other. Basically the old guard of the US Senate has taken tyrannical control of the US Government via their Junior Senator President Obama. Explains why McCain said Obama would make a good President. When the evidence was clear that Obama had very little life experience for such a roll.

IIRC, Harry’s not up for re-election until 2016. Best keep this warm until then...

Patriots need to at least try to win majority control of Senate in 2014.
