Those tweets and statements from congressmen and their staffs are mostly benign - - just guys trying to invoke the “nobody wants a shutdown” mantra.

A few did really bother me, though. Jon Runyan is a real disappointment. I thought he had more guts.

You have a team sport mentality that doesn’t seem reality based. You loudly crow about what you think will happen, based on what you wish would happen. You also seem very emotional.

I don’t expect the Dems are going to walk away from what they see as their main domestic accomplishment.
I really do expect Repub congressmen in Blue & Purple states to start peeling off.
I mostly look at what’s happened in the past.
I realize it’s difficult to see clearly when you’re emotionally vested in an issue.
