Mt. Rushmore is also closed, and barricades have been put up along highways where you could view the monument. Our governor and private groups have offered to keep the monument open, but of course the government lackeys have refused the offers.

Unbelievable. Mount Rushmore ? Out here in Texas, Barrycades would never stop us. We drive where ever we want. Over any type of land.

The main parking area is privately run at Mt Rushmore. That is why your senior national park pass is no good there. Or so I was told a week ago when I visited. (I had to pay the fee...)
