I didn't watch the vid (rarely do), but one suspects that the Pillsbury Doughboy (McConnell) was his milktoastian self. (I would love to be corrected, btw).

Not pleased to see them so damn chummy (and cynical). Remember that Ted Cruz has refused to back John Cornyn for re-election, and also has refused to stop his fund from attacking McConnell.

Sounds like they where being and saying consistently the same thing in private as they would In public. ‘we are willing to compromise, we have tried to kill obamacare but will simply take a compromise position. They are caught in the we will not negotiate mode and we will win this fight.’
hardly anything but good came out of this. They seem even more rational in a private moment.
