Don’t know how to answer that. I think in Michigan they have to fill out some type of request to sign their kids up for the meals.

However I do know they were asked to provide income or need base info verification based on our calls and email and they decided to take their kids off instead of meeting the request.

Then your district got lucky. These people could file a complaint about getting asked for income verification and the district could lose it's Federal funding.

Next time you have a chance, look at the free lunch program application. It spells out the verification prohibition on it.
