Apparently the officer does not know how to drive.

The report I read said he was “trying to join the chase” when he hit some kind of roadside barrier. The driver of the “suspect car” had nothing to do with his crash.

I heard the cop was joining the chase when some other agent raised ‘in-the-ground’ barriers, causing a roll-over.

Stands to reason. Her car didn't show the kind of damage you'd expect if she'd hit that totaled white police car.

The Capitol Police car struck an in-ground barrier that had been launched because of the chase. So, it had nothing to do with any driving deficit on the officer’s part and everything to do with the suspect instigating the chase. The officer, btw, had to be removed with a jaws of life.

Are you familiar with the distance from the White House, where the high speed pursuit began, to the Capitol? If there weren’t a government shutdown, the roads and sidewalks between the two points would have been filled with people. By the time she got to the Capitol under those circumstances, there was plenty of cause for the pursuit.
