The key words here are “and other..” This is a bunch of drama llamas posing as reporters. I would remain highly skeptical that a well functioning 30 something woman was really schizophrenic. Her mom mentioned post-partum depression. Her former boss mentioned a head injury. Her mom at least would have been very aware of any diagnosis of schizophrenia.
Even if she had been so diagnosed and put on meds what would the explanation for her behavior be? That she stopped taking them and had a total break with reality? Yet she was able to drive from CT to DC with her child? A child who by all accounts appeared to be in good health. Just how capable do these llamas believe a person experiencing a psychotic break would be in caring for a child?
My explanation is simpler, because of her past serious head injury she was experiencing one or more manifestations of temporal lobe seizures such as the inability to control emotions during certain times. This lead to her panic and overreaction when she was confronted.
I really doubt she meant harm to anyone.
point is our govt and our media is so devious and dihonest, anything at all is possible...
She wasn't schizophrenic, she was just channeling the NSA.
Here I will help you out right off...why did they tell us of her meds and not the navy shooter? Movie shooter either?

And btw, we knew in pretty short order that both the Aurora shooter and the Navy Yard shooter were experiencing significant mental health issues.
All the mass shooters were, indeed, on “brain mucking meds.”

The pressing issue, which no one will address, is that we have no effective system for handling mental illness in this country. Those affected are allowed to live freely among us until they kill or maim.
It’s not about guns, and it’s not about drugs (which help, but only when taken, and a paranoid disturbed mind will leave them in the bottle.)

When the boyfriend’s name is released or leaked, we will have more clues we can follow. I am not at all surprised though if she was mentally ill. Not ready to go full Alex Jones....yet...lol. I do think these powerful psychotic and antidepressant drugs are part of the problem these days. They are being prescribed way too mucho and a common link in most of these recent cases.

It is possible he was lying. I have a hard time believing that this guy would make a police report because he feared for his child but did not contact CPS. Did he seek to change their custody arrangements? Did he follow up with anyone when no action was taken as a result of his report? No effort to seek that Carey be held involuntarily because she was a danger to herself or others?

As have I, Jedidah. And I agree that we have a mucked up system for dealing with mental health issues.
It is not a simple issue by any stretch. It is very difficult to have someone committed, and if they have no family looking after their interests, damn near impossible. After my dad passed, it became exponentially more difficult to have mom hospitalized.
I sure as hell don’t know the answer. But I confess to more than a degree of discomfort in making it easier to commit folks. JMO.
The media could go get a copy of police report. It is public record in most places. Perhaps there was a domestic disturbance and police were called to home and this was his statement....????
Well, if she hadn’t been adjudicated as nutty, there would be nothing in her “permanent records” to prohibit her from obtaining the assault weapon she used in “yet another assault weapon attack on innocent barrycades and law enforcement officers”. If barry had a sista’ she would’ve looked like that.
No matter what, in the video I saw there were 5 cops and the car had 4 tires....Why not flatten tires vs kill the poor woman.
