By the same logic, should we hold Smith & Wesson responsible for bad actions by a purchaser of their products?

I am NOT saying we should hold the company responsible, I am simply pointing out that the once-brilliant idea to put their name on their product has unintended consequences. It had YOU calling the company to complain, did it not? You weren't looking for a quote on a couple hundred yards of barrier.

If Smith & Wesson had their name prominently featured on that weapon held on Elian Gonzales in the closet on the day Janet Reno condemned him to return to Cuba, there would be blowback (npi).
