High school graduation rates among children of same-sex households (are 35% lower)
Review of Economics of the Household ^ | September 2013 | Douglas W. Allen

Abstract: Almost all studies of same-sex parenting have concluded there is “no difference” in a range of outcome measures for children who live in a household with same-sex parents compared to children living with married opposite-sex parents. Recently, some work based on the US census has suggested otherwise, but those studies have considerable drawbacks. Here, a 20 % sample of the 2006 Canada census is used to identify self-reported children living with same-sex parents, and to examine the association of household type with children’s high school graduation rates. This large random sample allows for control of parental marital status, distinguishes between gay and lesbian families, and is large enough to evaluate differences in gender between parents and children. Children living with gay and lesbian families in 2006 were about 65 % as likely to graduate compared to children living in opposite sex marriage families. Daughters of same-sex parents do considerably worse than sons.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about. Do you think I don’t know that?"

Same thing happened to me. I answered a question and got baseball-batted for supposedly supporting these foul practices.

That was completely uncalled for.

I saw that. I detest bullies. It seems that some people have too much free time and anger on their hands.

Not at all.

And while we’re on the subject, where in the article did you see it confined to a lesbian relationship?

That was the basis of your comment.

Perhaps you need a note? a “/s” marker to tell you it’s sarcasm?

Strangely I thought that was unnecessary.

But then I get all sorts of simpering answers explaining the New Age Birds and the Bees, as if this was the Daily Kos and didja know you can just trot off to the Fertility Doc and do the IVF thingy, and live out your Rainbow Life with the mammal of your choice...and a fake trophy kid?

C’mon. I live in Santa Cruz for God’s sake. Been there Seen that.

Another reason I AM so staunchly against it.

Uncalled for?

What’s uncalled for is mainstreaming the idea.

No one on this thread was trying to “mainstream” this idea. If you are unable to comprehend English, I suggest that you hire a tutor.

Or they will blame it on bullying and discrimination against their kids.

Of course they will. But even if true, so what? They insist on creating the bazaar "family" construct into which to inject a child and then, when the inevitable differences elicit the natural reaction from normal folks (not necessarily "bullying," which today can mean even mild ostracization), they act shocked and blame everyone else except themselves.

These selfish deviants are even more culpable for evil when they intentionally "produce" a child through artificial means instead of adopting, which can at least be viewed as meeting an existing need. If every homo insisted on adopting and condemned creating a child with a rented womb or purchased sperm, they would at least have a modicum of my respect. But such is not the case, nor will it ever be.

Especially since he person who is so obstinately misconstruing your replies, is the very person who started this pointless volley by asking, "How do you get children from a same sex union? Kidnapping?"

And then aims verbal spitballs at anybody with the temerity to answer his question.

Exactly right. Perhaps he awoke on the wrong side of the bed this morning, or fell out of it and landed on his head.

There are some who are determined to be miserable human beings, and that is more to their misfortune than ours.
