Conservatism itself is compassionate, in that it helps everyone aspire to independence and freedom, not dependence and slavery. “Compassionate Conservative” is redundant.

Yes...I have always liked your Freepname...it has truth to it.
Liberals think they are compassionate, but their policies belie their supposed compassion for the downtrodden. They want, and need a permanent underclass.
