I’ve spent the night on Air Force bases several times as a soldier and really had my eyes opened to how they live. Anyone who doesn’t know what life is like in the Air Force doesn’t realize how traumatic this can be them.

LOL! I spent 24 years in the AF and had occasion to visit some Army/Marine installations - oh-so right that the AF might be traumatized by lack of TP. Back in the day some of your chow halls were superior though.

On my final deployment, before we boarded the C130 at the terminal in al Udeid, I took a group of young Airman aside and pointed to the bathrooms. I told them, “use it now. You don’t know how long it’s gonna be before you see another porcelin pot.” Several hours later we were on a remote) landing strip and one of my guys had to hike about 100 yards from the plane (being refuled from a tanker truck) to a blue port-a-potty.
