Isn't it time for a vacation you!!!!

Oh my goodness...it is almost Thanksgiving! I still can't travel, but maybe I can work out taking a week off.

About 3:30 today, all the folders, and their contents, on my work computer desktop disappeared. Poof! Gone! Not to be found....some stuff I could recreate, but some not. And my Canteen folder with ALL my codes and threads was one of the disappearees!! The IT boss walked by and said to reboot, which I was already doing, but no luck. Panic had not yet set in because I knew they did backups often. He said I needed to wait til Monday...OK, I can do that.

Then one of the IT guys came by and I asked if I understood correctly about the backups....he looked at my desktop and said they don't back them up. But he said he needed to go check something.

Fortunately I have a small thumb drive that lives in my pocket and could access my Canteen folder from home that way....not completely up-to-date, but better than nothing.

Then he called and said go here, and here, and here....oh my gosh...THERE WERE ALL MY DESKTOP FOLDERS. I will be getting a bigger than 1GB thumb drive this weekend and be saving my stuff to it.

I AM DRAINED!!! And I still have my cold and cough, altho it is getting better.
