No. I read about that earlier this week. They can file for unemployment benefits in Maryland after a day or two, but in other states have to wait a week or two. It was mentioned in a sob story about how federal employees were on the brink of starving in the streets after the first 24 hours of their vacation.

This just the usual political crap. The fed “workers” always get a free paid vacay from the taxpayers when this happens. Always. What a joke.

Meanwhile in the real world 23 million formerly employed people are not employed and cannot get unemployment of any kind or...a company cannot hire because of Obamaumaocare. Brilliant dimo move. They simply are not American, period.
