They’re blowing chaff to deflect from other issues. Immigration and gun control are like the Hollywood horror monster that’s “killed” at the end of the movie. As the cute young couple get closer and closer it suddenly springs to life and charges them.
It never really dies. There’s always an egg left over that only the audience sees. We know there will be a sequel.
