Great treatise; my eyeballs fell out. I’m saving it for a cold, snowy day, for reading in front of the fireplace.

RE:
132 There was a naval siege of Turkish fortifications that matched shipboard cannon against a trebuchet. Reportedly the Turks were able to sink a number of ships with stone balls and win the day. Consider, an 18" granite sphere would weigh about 1.2 tons; now figure the energy at terminal velocity.
I can't recall the specifics of the battle but I'll bet Civ can help out.

Syr. Channel 3’s Matt Mulcahy just reported from Washington with the Honor Flight vets. Coverage showed jersey barriers being tipped and emptied. The vets got to see the WWII, Vietnam and Korean memorials.
The Lincoln Memorial was closed off, but one vet was interviewed who went there anyway.
Kudos to Mulcahy for his factual reporting, and obvious pride in our vets.

Interestingly too, the view you see is also the last 200 yards of the Marine Corps Marathon which is in three weeks. That would be 20,000 pissed off runners who have trained for months."
20,000 pissed off Marines? Or just runners in general? Because I would love to see some pantywaist politician try to defend this decision to 20,000 pissed off Marines after they saw how their brothers were treated at the WWII memorial.

From Syracuse TV coverage, it looked like they just pulled a plug out of the Jersey barrier, drained it and kicked it over. Syracuse TV news anchor and camera crew present for the festivities.

I looked online to see if I could find any video footage of that awesome event, but could not find anything yet.
Hopefully, something will show up in the next couple days.

That’s the smart way to do it, rather than try to move it full.

I still wouldn’t want to be on the incoming end of one of those things.

I can’t help thinking its really a way to get their hands on the 1/6th of the wealth generated in this government. Look how they use the “IOUs in the SS lockbox.” What a mess we have happening in this country, caused by someone we aren’t sure should even be here.

Closing the WW II Memorial was a monumental mistake. No pun intended, It was the brainchild of an ahole who probably never served a day in the military. An unfathomable, unpardonable power grasp of disrespect of the nations history.

I did a Google search on “Syracuse veterans visit memorial.”
Click on 9WSYR link. There are stories, slides and vid of yesterday’s trip.
A crowd met them at Hancock Airport when they returned today. God bless them!

Wonder if these are some of Obama/Holder’s illegals doing their dirty work? Anyone call ICE?
To: ntnychik
Do you think Obama’s smart enough to know that he's just making people despise him even more?
To: potlatch
He despises people who oppose him, so I doubt if he cares. The more enemies he makes, the more polarized we are. That works for him.
