LAKEWOOD, Wash. - A 20-year-old active-duty soldier was stabbed to death in a parking lot at the 12500 block of Pacific Highway Southwest around 2:30 a.m., officials say.
Three soldiers were walking from Joint Base Lewis-McChord along Pacific Highway SW when a group of men in a car drove by and someone inside shouted a racial comment toward the white soldiers, the Lakewood Police Department said.
"One of the soldiers yelled back something about the suspects treating combat soldiers with disrespect," Lt. Chris Lawler said.
The vehicle turned around, and five black males got out of the car and confronted the soldiers, according to reports. As the verbal confrontation ensued, the driver of the vehicle realized the men were actually combat veterans and called his friends off. While the men headed back to their vehicle, one of the suspects appeared to have bumped into the victim, witnesses say.
The soldiers saw their friend fall to the ground as the car sped away. The victim was bleeding profusely from a stab wound and died at the scene.

A portion of the 14% are always mouthing off, talking smack, and inciting riot. They are led by their hero in the white hut who does the same thing they do and he makes them more bold by the day. He postures, he struts, he runs his mouth, he can’t be reasoned with, he has a huge chip on his shoulder, he feels inferior and is inferior so he overcompensates for it. He knows he did not earn his place but that it was given to him... typical of the portion of the 14%.
This faction is like the mooslem extremists... there is only one way to deal with them, there is only one language they understand and until that language is spoken they will not quit their assault.

Just a point of clarification...these servicemen would not be “Marines” —they’re Army. The 2nd Infantry Division has at least one Brigade at JBLM.

I think bringing back speedy trials and public executions might help stop this senseless violence. This is a heart breaking story, our young soldier deserved much much better. I hope the murders are found and justice is gone.

Correct. The PC definition of racism makes it impossible for a member of a Designated Victim Group to be racist towards a member of a Designated Oppressor Group.
Oddly enough, the most common dictionary definition of racism has a similar effect, though from a different angle.

I think most black racists hate white people, but don’t really think of their own race as superior, so they wouldn’t technically fit this definition.
The more inclusive definition of racism as antagonism/hostility towards members of other races appears to be gaining ground, but most dictionaries still list it as second or third.

There’s no disrespect meant in what I’m about to say, sir: as a Corpsman during Vietnam, I’m well aware of the Marines’ esprit de corps and its importance - but please, give it a rest. It’s not fitting for the proud tradition you represent.
“Troops” and “soldiers” are just generic terms, and the people who use them should be cut some slack when they use them respectfully for anyone who put themselves in harm’s way. I was as far from being a “soldier” as you can get, but I’m never upset if I’m called one when I’m lumped in with all those who served in uniform. I don’t think you need to get upset either. There’s enough else going on these days - real insults and attacks - where we can can better focus our energies.

I used to make a run from DC-PHILA-NY every night, to ‘swap’ material from a guy making a run from NY-PHILA-NY.
Anway on occasion I would have to go on into NYC and would end up in LI City and meet another guy by an all night cab stand/gas station with a bar right there and it was frequented by mostly Spanish ‘types’. (NOT profiling, but not deaf nor blind).
I would feel ‘uneasy’, sitting on the street near the bar and was always aware of the possibility of a confrontation with me being the only ‘White Bread’ in a newer Ford Van amidst a group of Hispanic revelers.
I mentioned my ‘concern’ to the NY driver @ Philadelphia and he pointed to my VN tags, VFW etal stickers and said “You just sitting in your truck NOT bothering anyone and YOU have a lot more help in that crowd than you can imagine.
Now, get in somebodys face etc and you are on your own”.
Possibly, in the WA case, one or more of the perps were combat Vets ....
Though I really can’t imagine the three Soldiers that were accosted would have made that statement of their being combat vets etc...Ribbons on chest, stickers on cars etc give that message...
When this murder is re-created for LAW & ORDER SVU, the scenario will be revamped to make the white Marines guilty.
