Exactly. My carry is peace of mind. I have smoke detectors, a CO detector, a fire extinguisher in the kitchen - another in the car. I wear a seat belt, have air bags. Life insurance, health insurance... All these things so I don’t have to be (overly) concerned with what might happen. Chances of me ever needing any of these things (other than the life insurance, that’s an eventual certainty) are slim. Same thing with my carry. I don’t go looking for trouble, in fact I try to be smart about my travels and maintain situational awareness to avoid it before it starts. But if trouble finds me? I’m not overly troubled by that thought since I am prepared.
My .45 only has a ten round mag while my 9 mm is 16 so I usually carry it. Both CZs. My first real pistol was a Browning ‘Hi-power’ so I got used to and like that grip.
I’ve never read here of a gang of ferals larger than 15. Yep, be prepared. I’ll be happy if I never have to draw again but have had to a couple times.
That’s an interesting way of looking at it. Will have to try that on a gun-shy moron at work and see what happens. His whole argument is “what’s the chance of needing it”.
