Shutdown: The tea party’s last stand (psychotic Lib rant)
Wa Po ^ | 10/7/13 | Dionne

Posted on 10/07/2013 6:21:00 AM PDT by pabianice

If the nation is lucky, this October will mark the beginning of the end of the tea party.

The movement is suffering from extreme miscalculation and a foolish misreading of its opponents’ intentions. This, in turn, has created a moment of enlightenment, an opening to see things that were once missed.

Many Republicans, of course, saw the disaster coming in advance of the shutdown. But they were terrified to take on a movement that is fortified by money, energy and the backing of a bloviating brigade of talk-show hosts. The assumption was that the tea party had become invincible inside the GOP.

People who knew better followed Sen. Ted Cruz down a path of confrontation over Obamacare. Yet even before the shutdown began, Republicans stopped talking about an outright repeal of Obamacare, as House Speaker John Boehner’s ever-changing demands demonstrated.

The extent of the rout was then underscored in the hot-microphone incident last week when Sen. Rand Paul was caught plotting strategy with Sen. Mitch McConnell. Paul’s words, spoken after he had finished a television interview, said more than he realized.

Let’s hope this lick-spittle mouthpiece for the Left has the shock of his life next fall when the USA votes conservatives into office across the nation. Perhaps there will be an ObamaCare plan for Leftist scribblers admitting them to psychiatric institutions for free meds.

Hey EJ, your fear is showing.

I love the smell of fear in the morning...smells like victory.

Not a bad paraphrase...

“...his October will mark the beginning of the end of the tea party. ...”

...and then “Dionne” woke up and let go of his limp crank.

If it comes, it comes. Bound to sooner or later.

Psychotic lefties don’t understand “Live and let live”. They’re in a state of perpetual warfare with everyone and everything that doesn’t immediately submit to their sick worldview.

F*** ‘em.

The lib’s are so very close to creating their One Party police state.

And they do want it so very badly.

I recommend all Freepers read this piece by Dionne.

He clearly has no idea what he's talking about inre to either the TeaParty or the shutdown. He's oblivious to the feelings out here in fly-over country. We're tired of funding their never ending cocktail party.

In my view the longer the shutdown lasts the stronger the TeaParty position becomes. W/ every passing day we see Obama and the other dhimmis make tactical errors and issue insane denounciations.

Furthermore, the GOP has make a tactical concession by offeringa one-year delay, the dhimmis are standing pat because they think the msm will pull the public in their favor, but I'm not sure they have that much juice anymore.

The take away from the article is that our opponents are completely clueless about the TeaParty.

Unfortunately, with or without Obamacare, there will be Death Panels, in one form or another.

When the money runs out, the money runs out.

The cost of Medicare has been doubling every eight years for the last thirty. A couple more doublings and it will consume the entirety of the current Federal budget. A couple more after that and it consumes the entirety of the current US GDP.

That obviously can’t happen.

The money will run out.

There will be, if not “death panels”, then blanket denial of benefits.

The unkeepable promises that were made, on an industrial scale, over the course of a couple of generations, will be broken, on an industrial scale, over the course of a couple of years.

When you are taking flak, you are over the target...

Libs have a problem with projection, ascribing their own fears and motives to their opposition.

It’s gonna get them hurt one of these days.

This guy can dream on. It is not Tea Party’s last stand. It is MSM’s last stand.

The smackdown with Candy Crowley illustrates that truth and care for the country and ypung people is taking root.

Voters are connecting with each other and with constitutionalists. No longer is MSM trusted and it will get worse for them quickly and exponentially
A paradigm is shifting. Dems no longer will have power of informationn candidates will be honest brokers eschewing even big corporation money in favor of the power of reaching voters through virtual town hall meetings and getting their audience to think critically.

The dems flop in that arena. But it’s the new arena. And it just took over. Even big takers like Boehner and Rubio have to join in. The MSM is over the dems just don’t know it yet

It’s alway instructive to read these dimwit rants, by Dionne and a host of others, as precise expressions of the truth about THEMSELVES. Freud called this “projection”.

A good way to respond to anybody who rants about “Tea Party Republicans” is to return the favor and complain about “Communist Party Democrats”.

You've described the leftist mindset in a nutshell.

What constantly surprises me about them, especially since they're always telling us that they're the "smartest people in the room", is that they don't see that, if they just backed off a little on the control freakery and let the economy prosper, they could have plenty of big government programs to keep themselves in office and still not crash the whole system.

The entire small government movement would be pretty well muted if everyone was employed, making a reasonable living, with reliable infrastructure and a decent amount of law and order. I suspect most of us would even tolerate high taxes if we felt we were actually getting something tangible for our money.

But it's not about prosperity, or philosophy or even practicality - it's about control, of everyone and everything, consequences be damned.

You’ll enjoy this jonrick...

Carry this message everywhere. Spread it far and wide.

The people who were happy to expend hundreds of Mexican lives and several Americans’ in Fast & Furious to pump up phony gun crime statistics,

the people who left 40 Americans to fend for themselves and four to die in Benghazi to avoid political embarrassment,

the people who brought down the IRS on Americans merely exercising their rights to free speech,

the people who sold out Seal Team Six to keep them silent about the bin Laden raid,

the people who threatened to arrest 80 year old WWII veterans for merely looking at their own memorial, the people who put up a Berlin wall to keep Americans out of George Washington’s house(!)

- these people will not hesitate to use their control over your health care - that you gave them - to inflict pain when it suits their political purposes.

The name Tea Party is now obsolete. Proposed new designation: 1776. We’re well beyond dumping the tea.
