+1.

And it’s not about a Dem getting to appoint a replacement, it’s about OBAMA getting to appoint one.

The last President to get three appointments to the Court was Reagan. There’s no doubt int mind that this story was pushed by the Obama crowd to pressure Ginsburg into giving Obama another seat to fill.

Put her on life support until January 2017.

I think the Liberals are beginning to see it all slip away. That is why they are so desperate to get Obamacare fully implemented as soon as possible and why they want to solidify their control on institutions like the Supreme Court, academia, and the bureaucracy.

They know that a long long time in the electoral wilderness awaits them. After the chickens come home to roost from the policies of the last five years, a Democrat is going to have a hard time getting elected dog-catcher, much less President.

Want to know what the long-term forecasts say for 2014 and 2016? Your best indicator is stories like this one.

She has had two bouts with cancer—colon in 1999 and pancreatic in 2009. I wouldn’t describe her as being healthy. She is 80 years old.

If she would step down, it would give Mr. Obama an opportunity to appoint the First Muslim Supreme Court Justice.

She is going to step down sometime. I suspect she is waiting for Hillary to enter the WH. Hillary is a virtual lock to be the next President.

If she goes there will be trouble.
And if she stays it will be double.

“Please, Please wait till early 2017.”

YES!! Even if she has to be zombied, hooked up to a respirator, strapped to her chair, and have “life” support tubes sticking out of all of her natural and unnatural bodily orifices. After that, pull the plug.

Stay. Stay until you can be replaced by someone who loves the Constitution.

She has had two bouts with cancer...

Surely, someone of her huge stature should not be encouraged to leave just for a little tinge of cancer. We have modern medicine, she has modern medicine... we have modern government-run health insurance... she has modern government-run health insurance. Couldn't be better if she was on the SCOTUS equivalent in South Africa. Long live (3+ years) Ruth Ginsburg!

So at the same time the msm is insisting that shrillery is a lock in 2016, they’re also so deathly afraid that a President Cruz might appoint Ginsberg’s successor that they’re trying to kick her to the curb now.
What gives?

This article tells you everything you need to know about what they really think about 2016.

If Hillary! was a mortal lock for the Presidency, as everybody insists that she is, they would not care when Ruth Bader Ginsburg retires.

But they think it is important that Ginsburg retire right now.

I think they know, full well, that Hillary! does not have a snowball's chance in 2016, so they are getting as many things as they can set in stone now, before the deluge. They will try to talk the Democrats up for the next few years, either because they think they might have a chance of being effective or out of force of habit. But at the end of the day, they see gravity taking hold.

Hillary! got her butt kicked by a two-year Senator of marginal abilities and non-existent accomplishments back in 2008. What makes anybody think she would do better in 2016?

Furthermore, I think they are worried about the Democrat Senate in 2014. If the Republicans swing the Senate, another Justice Kagan might actually be subject to some scrutiny.

They want Ginsburg gone now so her successor can be in place well before the 2014 elections.
