A group of competitive trail riders, having just completed 75 and 50 mile endurance rides, were evicted from Talladega NF in the middle of the night. Exhausted horses and humans were forced to move trailers out of a pine grove in the dark under threat of fines and prosecutions.
The local park rangers were sympathetic, but U.S. Marshals were brought in (no doubt at great expense) to ensure that the rangers caused as much pain as possible despite their personal sympathy.

We need to declare the occupant of the White Hut insane and invoke the 25th Amendment.
Park Service, and Forestry, and BLM should be defunded and disbanded, and the lands they manage returned to the states.
If the states want the former federal personnel, let them hire them and pay them. But as federal agencies they should cease to exist. We’re broke. We don’t need to be paying people to manage lands that should not be federal from the beginning. We certainly don’t need to be paying people who are willing to act as Obama’s personal catspaws.
Do not defy the King. That is the lesson to be learned here serfs.

Well it’s Ms. Dancer but no matter .... I’m talking about monuments like that WWII one and Arlington cemetery for another. I think it’d be more like being arrested for not leaving. Wonder what would happen if thousands of WWII vets got arrested for not leaving. They showed up but left.

I was an endurance rider for over 25 years. I double damn guarantee you that permits were issued & PAID FOR by the ride managers of this event.
This wasn’t an outlaw event. Not in the least.
Many endurance rides are held on state & Federal land, since so many miles for trail are needed. Those permits are procured way in advance & are not cheap.
This is another example of Obama’s cavalier attitude about America.
It’s like time for put up or shut up. I keep reading how people here like to puff up and say “try to take my guns” or some such rhetoric. Now would be a good time to revolt against this Obozo’s national closures stupidity......
