Is it a glimmer of hope, or more rhetoric as the deadline for possible government default gets closer?
After weeks of near silence without any hint of a potential compromise between the Obama administration and congressional Republicans over raising the nation’s debt ceiling, the White House may be offering some conciliatory language that could help lead to a deal to prevent a potential default on October 17.
As recently as Friday, White House officials declined to specify any demand for the length of a deal to increase the nation’s debt ceiling.

The proposal is just a head fake by Obama and Harry Reid. The Dems want a “clean bill” which amounts to an unconditional surrender by Republicans on the issues of ObamaCare and the out of control debt and spending. Obama says he will negotiate after the Republicans cave and grovel, but he won’t.
Sorry, Obama. We want Obamacare done away with, and we will not be stopped.
i honestly do not believe them. they say something, but they always do the opposite. just don’t believe it, it’s all just acting so the media can report obama’s open to negotiation, and he of course isn’t unless it’s total surrender first. same as it’s always been.

They have to say they’d maybe consider...they’re under pressure, loosing public support and they know it... this little ploy is like a pressure cooker letting off some steam....and that’s all it is.
They know if they even indicate something could occur then everyone will step back ....that’s all this is...they want some breathing room and should not be given it!
Zero’s petulant `I won’t negotiate.” wasn’t playing well so they’re changing sheet music is all.
Only total surrender will suffice. Total.
