EL CAJON A 75-year-old El Cajon homeowner fired two gunshots at a juvenile he interrupted Monday during a burglary, police said.
About 11 a.m., he called El Cajon police to report hearing noises coming from a back bedroom of his house on Terra Lane near Naranca Avenue. Fearing for his safety, he told police he had armed himself with a handgun, police Lt. Mark Coit said.
The burglar came out of the bedroom and got into a physical altercation with the homeowner, Coit said. The man fired two rounds.

El Cajon is a city of aprox. 60,000 about 15 miles from downtown San Diego. It is situated in a valley. It’s name is Spanish for “The Box.”
