“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is making plans to try to move a clean debt ceiling hike through the upper chamber, though it is unclear whether he’ll be able to win the 60 votes necessary to overcome procedural hurdles.”

Exactly. The last thing Congress needs is another ‘gang’.
To: sheikdetailfeather

If this supercommittee comes into play, we all know it will be packed full of RINOs and the Republicans will yet again surrender. The GOP is saving the Democrats from themselves.
To: sheikdetailfeather
WE shouldn’t be doing ANYTHING. The democrats have not moved an inch. Any movement on our side is simply negotiating with ourselves while they watch....and laugh.

Not another “Gang of 8” deal
isn’t that what got us sequestered?
look how well the democrats followed though on spending cuts that were part of the 2011 deal
its more reliable to negotiate with the Russians, North Koreans AND Iranians then the democrat party
