Story goes on to say the man was mentally ill, it wasn't political.

"An attorney who represents the man’s family released a statement Monday night asserting that Constantino acted not out of political motives but as the result of “a long battle with mental illness.’’

Why would they hire an attorney to make a public statement, specifically to say it wasn't political?

Very sad. It says that witnesses saw the man give a “crisp military salute” towards the Capitol before doing this horrible act,

I think that Obama has created such tension and anxiety in the US that it’s no surprise that the mentally ill are acting out like this.

How far did this guy walk though the National Mall with a five gallon gas can?

Maybe the park rangers would have noticed if they weren't barricading the memorials.

Judging from the pic, and factoring in the last selection returns, there’s a 94% chance he was Leftist.

How long before MSM employees start screaming:

Headline:

He was concerned about gun violence, "teabaggers"
Mall Fire Victim Died To Protest Right Wing
"He just worried so much about the mess Bush left President Obama," said a friend.

Why would they hire an attorney to make a public statement, specifically to say it wasn't political?

A witness statement from a Fox News story: "But she said she did notice that another man with a tripod was standing nearby and had disappeared by the time the police had arrived. "

If this cameraman had some idea that this was going to go down, then IMO, it was a political statement (like most immolation events).

In other words, he left a detailed suicide note blaming Obama's policies. :)

The military salute certainly sounds as though he had at least some political tinge to his act.

Of course he was mentally ill, but this was done in our Capital on the mall. To say this wasn’t political is insane.

Sad story. It says that the dying man thanked passersby and paramedics that tried to save him.
