Way back when - (60’s/70’s/80’s) such villages as Chevy Chase MD etal were declaring themselves ‘Nuclear Free Zones’ AND allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections because they paid sales tax and county tax and state tax so it is only ‘fair’ to let them have a say in where the money was spent.

If I remember correctly the ‘majority’ just sat around and said ‘Oh well’!

Ok, I ‘poohpaawed’ it also BUT at least I was living in VA.

I guess it is ‘true’, taking NO action is as bad if not worse than acting.
