Nting the gloves on the police officers. Very wise.
They wouldn’t want to risk catching a communicable desease from these RATS now, would they?

Even though Rangel should be in prison for tax evasion, fraud, etc., it sure is good to see him wearing cuffs. Maybe, if there is justice, he will also be wearing an orange jumpsuit one day.

The lawmakers Reps. Joe Crowley, Raul Grijalva, Luis Gutierrez, Jan Schakowsky, Keith Ellison, Al Green, Charlie Rangel, and Lewis were part of a group of more than 100 activists who conducted a peaceful sit-in blocking a street in the front of the Capitol, just feet away from the scene of last weeks shooting.

RATS have been known to carry plague - and, of course, they have plagued this country for more than 40 years.
On a different note, they can be arrested, but I don’t think that they can actually be charged or tried while in office - there is a good separation of powers reason for this.

They can arrest a Congressman?
All he has to do is declare he is on his way to Congress, which is only a short walk from there.
