U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison was arrested Tuesday by U.S. Capitol Police during an immigration rally on the National Mall.
As protestors marched toward the U.S. Capitol, Ellison and several other House Democrats sat in the middle of Independence Avenue, blocking rush hour traffic.
Police led Ellison away in cuffs shortly after 4 p.m.
Ellison’s office said the move was an act of “civil disobedience” designed to urge Congress to pass legislation that would allow the nation’s undocumented immigrants to apply for U.S. citizenship.
The march was held on the National Mall even though the open-area park is closed due to the federal government shutdown.

Oh brother.......the drama of it all. Is there anything a democrat will not do for attention and votes? Just what were they protesting? Their immigrant constituents legal or not were standing there, openly welcomed and allowed to rally. It’s not like they were denied anything. LOL
That is the driver for much of what the left does, especially the college kids. They want so much to feel like they fought "injustice" that they will manufacture things to be "righteously indignant" about. Gay marriage, nonexistent discrimination, Saint Trayvon... They've never seen real injustice so they make it up. I'd like to see them try to illegally immigrate to and vote in Mexico.

The fact that these 'Rats are out in the streets promoting their amnesty idiocy instead of attending to much more pressing matters like Obamacare, the budget, the debt limit, etc. speaks volumes as to how radical and insane they are.

Why would they resist arrest when they went down there specifically to be arrested for the cameras?

In Rep. Ellison’s case, he is probably protesting for free passage for the Hezbollah terrorists who are coming to terrorize via our southern border.

Thanks justice, I had missed all this today. Funny stuff, those dems sure were laughing and having fun before they were arrested, lol. Didn’t see Rangel in the pictures though.
