The ‘Rats will cave but they need to be thrashed so they never pull this crap again. Complete surrender and no deals. There is nothing to lose on the Pub side. Exceptional Americans have had enough of both parties. God bless the USA. Rot in hell, DC.

I will never trust boehner.
He needs to be primaried.
If he’s doing something that conservatives approve of publicly, he is working twice as hard in private to screw us.

Boehner, you idiot! Obama doesn't want to "negotiate." He wants YOU to capitulate to him and continue his reckless spending!

Exactly. I happened to catch a glimpse of CNN at work this afternoon when they had ‘rat shill Hillary Rosen on talking about how Boehner is wavering since he’d have too much to lose by siding with the Tea Party on the shutdown (or something to that effect - I really can’t pay too much attention to her, or CNN, for that matter).

I am pleased to hear those three little words from Boehner. These words make it clear to me he sees the long game and understands that staying the course we're on plays to his favor. That's good. However, and it is a big "however", I'm not convinced Boehner can be trusted not to trade this long term solid "win" for conservatives, to get a short term "goodie" for the country club republican crowd. It's not like he hasn't snatched defeat from the jaws of victory on us before ...

Wow, Boehner, don’t be using such harsh and hateful language. And you give this man points?

Where was this douche and the RNC (but, I repeat myself) EVERYDAY RE: OCare, Deficit, the never-ending CR (IE: Budget of Congress’ past), etc.?

Sorry, but he was brought kicking and screaming to this point. I wonder how many back-room deals he and his close butt-buddies have been trying to squeak out (I’m still taking that story re: him and Reid and the Congress exemption as fact; it sounds like something he’d do) to hand the DEMS everything they want? We the People sure as hell haven’t gotten shit from this SOB speaker.

At the end of the day, the house decides what monies will be spent. Obama, who feels that he can decide what laws will be enforced and what laws he won’t enforce, is encountering the House version, they get to decide what will be paid for and what will not. I would send bills over defunding more and more Democrat pet projects until they get the point...

...and Obama wouldn’t be throwing any parties or golfing, for that matter.

Hold the line, Boner. Smash Obama in face with the Constitution.

During those things you mentioned, he was off being a douche, as he is a douche.

He’s worthless, no doubt about that.

But today I do have to give him credit for what he said.

That was well done, and I appreciate it.

Does not mean I’d vote for him or send him money or anything of the sort.

I do not know what possessed him today to do the right thing, but he did it.

This is all theater. I don’t even know anyone who knows anyone who has been affected.

I agree, it is theater, esp. from the Democommie side. But I know many who have been affected. MANY. Keep in mind that for every 1 fed employee "furloughed" there are at least 2 or 3 non-feds paying a real price.

I think your last point is the nail on the head. I just won’t trust him to make that ‘same mistake’ again, nor too many times :P

Question to the forum. Since the President, in my opinion, is acting “imperial” like he is just part of the overall picture.....does this make him guilty of an impeachable offense? Could his refusal to dialogue/compromise/negotiate with the House of Representatives be considered a violation of the COTUS’s separation of powers? IF so, then can he be impeached? Would starting “articles of impeachment” just make him worse (and hurt the GOP), or is it called for?

It won't do any good. The Senate won't follow through, especially since they're the ones running interference for him by tabling every bill that comes out of the House. I wouldn't put it past Reid to table an impeachment if one was passed. If Obama is ever going to be impeached, it's going to have to be called for and supported by the Democrats, and that simply isn't going to happen, as they put party power over any principle, as shown time and time again.

A slightly less impossible option is to get the courts to act. But on the offhand chance that they actually will step in to rein in a lawless administration, how can they enforce it if the administration ignores them and controls the law enforcement mechanism? (For future consideration: remove DoJ from the executive branch and make it part of the judiciary?)

The GOP needs to win the PR battle, honestly, and force the Democrats to react to public pressure. And that's an uphill battle as the dominant media is the PR wing of the DNC.

Yeah, it blew me right off my chair.

I mean I was just floored when I heard what he said, and he said it well.

He has not however changed my assessment of him. This is not a man that I trust or can support. I have to give him, credit for yesterday though, he made Obama look like pResident Stompy Feet big time :D
