'Gestapo' tactics meet senior citizens at Yellowstone
Eagle Tribune ^ | 10/08/2013 | John Macone

Posted on 10/08/2013 6:30:54 PM PDT by grumpygresh

The bus stopped along a road when a large herd of bison passed nearby, and seniors filed out to take photos. Almost immediately, an armed ranger came by and ordered them to get back in, saying they couldn’t “recreate.” The tour guide, who had paid a $300 fee the day before to bring the group into the park, argued that the seniors weren’t “recreating,” just taking photos.“She responded and said, ‘Sir, you are recreating,’ and her tone became very aggressive,” Vaillancourt said.

The seniors quickly filed back onboard and the bus went to the Old Faithful Inn, the park’s premier lodge located adjacent to the park’s most famous site, Old Faithful geyser. That was as close as they could get to the famous site — barricades were erected around Old Faithful, and the seniors were locked inside the hotel, where armed rangers stayed at the door.

“They looked like Hulk Hogans, armed. They told us you can’t go outside,” she said. “Some of the Asians who were on the tour said, ‘Oh my God, are we under arrest?’ They felt like they were criminals.”

A lot of people who were foreign said they wouldn’t come back (to America),” she said.

Lots of inadequate and insecure losers will love to go along with Obama’s unconstitutional behavior.

In the end, he’ll be running the largest criminal enterprise in world history - and loving it.

Po little African dictators got nuthin’ on him.

Look what he does to flood victims...

0bama closes state highway 34 between Grand Lake and Estes Park, CO. One of only two ways into the mountain town after the thousand-year flood destroyed the three main routes.

Trail Ridge road between Grand Lake and Estes Park CO is closed due to the shutdown. It is one of only two roads into Estes Park after the floods. This is a declared disaster area with major infrastructure damage. TR road will close for the winter due to weather before long but every day and every access route counts as this mountain town of 10,000 tries to get a handle on the flood aftermath before serious winter weather sets in.

TR road is a state highway so where do the Feds get off closing it? Unfortunately Mayor Pinkham doesn't have the balls to stand up for Estes Park. He was on Fox News putting the blame on Congress instead of doing his job. But the fact remains, it is 0bama that is applying pain to people in a national disaster area for political gamesmanship.

I post this not to complain or find relief but simply to inform all of yet another incident of 0malignant's narcissistic cruelty.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

Nah. The devotion to national treasures would have thrown the cops off.

Bet not one single person on the Mall, today, gave as much as a care for the WWII Memorial.

Sorry, I didn’t see the original thread. But I thought this was totally nuts. I was in Europe this summer, and it was obvious that the US customs officials and TSA were a whole lot worse that their Euro counterparts. Some people from Europe asked me about which places to visit and for the first time, I told them not to bother to come to the US because we have one of the world’s worst governments.

I’m not one to adopt an overly libertarian position, but I agree that these “rangers” and park police are behaving in a manner reminiscent of the guards at Auschwitz or at the Berlin Wall, blindly following illegal and immoral orders.

It’s not good to see American law enforcement personnel enforcing lawless government dictums.

We voted over 60% Republican in the last two elections. Higher than the average for Larimer county which is majority Republican. So, yeah, I guess we're libs.

FWIW right now 2,000 of us aren't flushing anything thanks to two miles of sewer line washing away.

Thanks for chiming in with your brilliance though!

Because for many years now recruiting practices and policy’s
on retainment of federal badgemonkeys geared toward one
fundamental goal....finding and keeping human refuse who
not only will act this way but actually enjoy it. The goal is to
create a modern gestapo/SS. News reports indicate that the
goal has been met.

The only way we rid ourselves of this scourge is to kill them....
both the evil agenda creators in Mordor on the Potomac and
their modern army of Uruk-Hai.

Never heard of Rocky Grass Festival but I suppose you would see a lot of things at a festival that aren’t part and parcel to the community it’s in. We get over 1.5 million visitors each year from all over the world for example. Well, we did but having the three most used routes in and out wiped out might slow that down.

The answer gets kind of complicated I imagine. Here are some of my observations: 1. Their paychecks. 2. Authority to bully and mistreat people who can't fight back.3. As long as they remain Obama's servants, they can crack heads and break bones to their heart's content without rear of reprisal.

Read up on the conditions of the German Republic during the late twenties until the late thirties. You will find a lot of answers as to what stage we in the United States are today.

Thanks, I just looked it up myself. Of course, the bluegrass festival in Lyons. I didn't know the name of it. Lyons was nearly wiped off of the map. The festival grounds are gone now I think.

Why would you go to a bluegrass festival if you don't like the kind of people you find there?

THIS was just the article I was looking for. An armed and hostile member of the US National Park Service threatening American citizens and foreigners for wanting to see America.

The U.S. National Park Service, now officially known as the US Nazi Park Stormtroopers.

Sorry that the good ones have to suffer because of the Obama asskissing turncoats.

Time to take names and post photos, as suggested elsewhere here at FR.

Let the “people” know who the enemies of America are.

Addresses and phone numbers might also be posted if legal. Try to get a Staff Directory for each Park and then have at it.

We need some legal advise on just what we can and cannot do.
Wouldn’t want to break Obama’s marxist laws and rule, would we? Huh? Well, would you, punk?”

This tinfoil is killing my head.....I just talked to a person who said they heard that the reason parks are being closed and barricaded, and people removed from their homes, is not because of the shutdown which is a guise, but for government occupation purposes, as encampments. The illegal immigration rally today was intended as a kickoff to the coming storm. (Told my buddy he was crazy, now my brain is on overdrive)

For many years, people on this board and similar have discussed historic events and said 'it couldn't happen here'.

Recent events suggest that they need to rethink their position. Governments never suffer a shortage of those willing to torture, abuse and even murder their fellow citizens.

...an armed ranger came by and ordered them to get back in, saying they couldn’t “recreate.”...these people by now must be feeling ashamed and castrated, serving as they are as pawns in Obama's campaign to punish America (except of course for his political allies such as illegal immigrants who can parade on the National Mall while actual citizens can't) for not heeling as any good pet dog would - somehow, I can't feel sympathy for them though, acting as they do like those in the past who've "only followed orders"......
