And all of you know it. I mean, I'm not telling you anything you don't know because it's very explicit. You report on it. A big chunk of the Republican Party right now is -- are in gerrymandered districts where there's no competition and those folks are much more worried about a tea party challenger than they are about a general election where they've got to complete against a Democrat or go after independent votes. And in that environment, it's a lot harder for them to compromise. Obama's Oct 8, 2013 one hour rant
.........President Obama has often chosen to unilaterally circumvent the law under the guise of executive authority. Most recently, that was demonstrated in July with his delay of Obamacare mandates for corporations, but it has been a hallmark of this presidency.
Courts have held that President Obama violated the Constitution with certain recess appointments, ignoring the required consent of Congress. He has abused executive-branch rule making rather than working with Congress to pass laws. He has ignored the letter of the law when it comes to religious liberty and work requirements for welfare.
President Obama has used executive orders to unilaterally change U.S. immigration laws. His administration has used waivers to change laws such as No Child Left Behind to compel states to adopt new policies.
In some of these instances, the president attempted to garner statutory authority, failed to do so and then acted in defiance of that. In other instances, he never bothered to find consensus and ignored Congress from the outset, usually contending that he simply had no choice. This is no way to govern, and it cripples the system of checks and balances that our Founding Fathers envisioned.....
"Explain to me how in a dozen questions the second biggest story of the week, the healthcare.gov debacle, doesnt even come up," Brendan Buck, the press secretary for House Speaker John Boehner, asked in an email to POLITICO.
"Questions from WH press corps are pathetic," Brit Hume, the Fox News analyst tweeted. "As of this moment, not a single tough or challenging inquiry."
The criticism invited some blowback form Democrats, including former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau, who tweeted, "Hey Republicans, maybe they'd ask about Obamacare if you didn't do such a great job pushing that shutdown for no discernible reason message.".......... No healthcare questions at Obama presser
I think Obama is banking on hysteria over the perceived notion of defaulting on debt causing Boehner to crumble like tissue paper. Obama’s lapdogs in the MSM are taking this idea that it will lead to an immediate repeat of the 1930s Depression all over again and running with it. So perhaps he is now banking on enough of the public believing it.
Hopefully conservatives, at the government and grassroots levels, can get the public to see that this was nonsense to begin with and then the Republicans can keep the spine they have had once the hysteria intensifies.
“........[Andrea] Mitchell rebutted the charge that MSNBC hasnt challenged administration officials on the efficiency and fairness of Obamacare. (Its noteworthy that an online search of Mitchell herself asking a question similar to Stewarts renders no matches.)
The response, Mitchell said, that Kathleen Sebelius gave to Jon Stewart was, If we got what we wanted, which was a single-payer plan, this wouldnt be a problem. (A single-payer health care system did come up in the Stewart interview, but Sebeliuss response to Stewarts specific question was to say that nothing that helps an individual get health insurance has been delayed at all.)
Duffy went on to say that the President and officials in the administration should also be made to sign up under Obamacare. They have their own gold-plated health care plan that theyre in, Duffy said.
So do you, Mitchell asserted.
Duffy shot back: No, Im not. Im in Obamacare. Im in Obamacare, Andrea. All members of Congress are and my family.
Mitchell said nothing.
At the end of the segment, Duffy gave a final dig at Mitchell: I think the media should start doing its job.
Thanks for your advice, Mitchell said.
Watch:
The phony “default” has been demolished by many people and with very few words. Republicans need to blurt it out whether they are asked about it or not. That’s what the Dems do.
That was great to see, but we need much more of this. And the default hysteria needs to be dealt with - I have a strong feeling Boehner is not nearly strong enough and tough enough to deal with it on his own; especially next week when you know it is gonna get exponentially worse. More of the Republicans and conservatives need to be able and willing to address these issues head on.
I just found this:
“President Obama held an off-the-record meeting with five conservative journalists on Tuesday afternoon.
Present at the meeting were Charles Krauthammer, the Washington Post columnist and Fox News contributor; Paul Gigot, the Wall Street Journal editorial page editor; Robert Costa, the National Review’s Washington editor; syndicated columnist Kathleen Parker; and Washington Examiner columnist Byron York, according to a source with knowledge of the meeting.

Obama and his Commie buddies have always wanted a single payer system, that to them has always been the final plan
Robert Costa tweets:
It was an honor to meet w/ Pres. Obama today at the WH, along with a small group of journalists. Appreciate his time.

Not sure what to do with this but share...I have some of the names of the GOP jerks revolting against Cruz and those with him.....just this list reveals PA, Virginia and N.Jersy have got to have something in common to ban together like this....what do they stand to gain...they’re all located in the N.East pretty much....???????
more than 20 moderate Republicans have been quietly revolting and are showing support for a clean CR including:
Peter T. King ............................................of New York
Michael G. Grimm................................. of New York
Mike Simpson........................................ of Idaho
Devin Nunes ..........................................of California
C.W. Bill Young..... .................................of Florida
Erik Paulsen...........................................of Minnesot
Frank A. LoBiondo.............................. of New Jersey
Leonard Lance.......................................of New Jersey
Jon Runyan.............................................of New Jersey
Charlie Dent ..........................................of Pennsylvania
Lou Barletta.......................................... of Pennsylvania
Jim Gerlach............................................ of Pennsylvania
Michael G. Fitzpatrick ........................of Pennsylvania
Patrick Meehan ....................................of Pennsylvania
Frank R. Wolf ........................................of Virginia
J. Randy Forbes ....................................of Virginia
Rob Wittman........................................ of Virginia
Scott Rigell .............................................of Virginia
See post 11....we got a problem in Pa....from the list I’ve found it’s our guys banning together with New Jersey and Virginia.....North Easterners...
So why is this??? Why are they the ones revolting....and want a “clean CR”...whose lining their pockets with promises and such...or who is heavy arming them and with what?
Lots of questions...
Not at all surprising that America’s psychotic Egomaniac-in-Chief cares less for the American people and their government than he does for his own free spending congressional shopping spree.
Thanks for the ping. I don’t get it. My Rep is holding firm. Will give him a call tomorrow.
"If you thought Republicans werent serious about a debt default, think again........"
This is a 3 minute video posted today ..you gotta see it....Independence Hall in Phila. is being guarded by private security guards with guns.....
A jounalist/reporter asks the guards who hired them, who they are with...they walk the other direction ..the guy keeps asking questions...the lady cop says he’ll be arrested....they call the police...he asks the police what he would be sited with if he crosses the street...”Jaywalking”!....it’s a hoot watching this because ends up we’re paying for these goons....

Oct 8, Today.........” Lou Barletta of Pa” wrote on his twitter.........”We can pass CR w/repeal of med device tax-enough Dems agree. On debt ceiling, why not Balanced Budget Amendment?”
I’m checking on the others to see what they’re posting on twitter.
Lou definitely voted for CR...but as Cruz said they’d say they were opposing funding Obamacare...which is exactly what Lou did.
Thanks very much for that list, caww!
What’s Frank Wolf doing with the wussy traitors, along with three other House members from VA?
see post 14...seems the Dems are agreeing with what we feared the republicans would do...
I don’t know....but it’s interesting the “groupings by states” are quite revealing as the bulk are North Easterners....Virginia with them...
MAkes ya wonder what Christy is up to and if his hand is in this.
I’m very upset to see PA reps banding like this...I posted below of Barletta...he did vote for CR and then turned around and said he’d be voting to defund obamacare...Just like Cruz said they would do!
I already tweeted him that by voting for CR he was voting for Obamacare.
