MOSCOW, Ocotber 8 (RAPSI) – A Russian police advisor in Liberia saved a child from ritual sacrifice, the Russian Interior Ministry reports on Tuesday.
Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Safronov, an advisor on operational issues to the Liberian National Police, reportedly tracked down an individual that was preparing to sell a child for the purposes of ritual sacrifice. In a sting operation, a woman acting as a buyer met a man who intended to sell the child and agreed upon the price of $150. The seller was then told that the child was purchased for the purpose of ritual killing, and still agreed to the transaction.
The man was detained on the scene. He turned out to be a distant relative of the child, who was appointed his legal guardian after the boy’s parents perished.
The Interior Ministry reports that ritual sacrifice is widespread in Liberia, stemming from traditional beliefs. Usually, children under 10 years of age are used as sacrificial offerings.

Well if it’s a religious thing, I guess the Russians should have stayed out of it. The American Liberals including 0bama would say that any religion that practices post partum abortion is exercising their religious freedom.
We have something similar to child sacrifice in America. It’s called gang members in Chicago.
All they had to do was call it an “abortion” and Obama would have started a US-AID program to subsidize it.
So they set up a sting and told the guy they were going to use the kid in a sacrifice. Meaning there actually was no sacrifice to save the kid from.
This is kind of like when an FBI provacateur suggests that some militia guys build a bomb, then arrests them and claims that the FBI stopped a bombing.

AFAIK a sting like that is highly illegal under Russian rules. That is why Russia protesting conviction of Victor Bout aka Lord of War in US.
An idea is to find an individual seeking to do a trade on his own initiative.

Indeed. The Devil’s playground. Monrovia, Liberia. It’s been years, but there are nights when I come out of deep sleep, and can still smell the place. It was the odor of rotting vegetation, burning garbage, and blood on dusty concrete. It is said odor is the strongest aspect of memory. I don’t doubt it.
