This has always bothered me, and I have some relatives (OK female ones) who consider themselves SO compasionate! SO on the right side and make it publically known that those who disagree with them (i.e. the ones who ACTUALLY pay the bill) are SO SELFISH! — and consider themselves SO NOBLE to vote for OTHER people to pay the bill. I am compassionate, I donate to charity. But I do NOT seek to use the FORCE OF LAW to make OTHER people foot the bill! Foot the bill yourself and you can claim charity for others (of course, according to Christ’s example, you are supposed to do it without seeking recognition). Using the force of the IRS to force OTHER people to pay for the compassion you take for yourself, as your excuse for voting for taxation on others, to make your own self feel so so good?!? Give me a break! It is time for that rooster to come to roost. YOU yourself (I mean not you the poster but the you-s who are now complaining about the cost to themselves for what they voted for) must compassionately give to others, not use the force of the government for OTHER people to have to pay the bill YOU voted for. Sorry this is so rambling but I think you get it. They want points for compassion, as long as someone ELSE is paying!

Yeah, I understand perfectly.

It’s amazing how many people in America are endlessly compassionate as long as someone else is footing the bill.
