Rent-a-cops hired to ring Independence Hall - threaten arrests
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/10/13 | Paul Bedard

Armed private security guards are on the job to keep the public away from Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, and one even threatened to arrest a political activist if he stepped on the sidewalk beside the iconic building where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were debated and adopted.

“You will be arrested,” said one of the hired guards to activist Craig Bergman as a video team filmed his stop at the downtown historical center.

In the video, Bergman asks a National Park Service ranger who was paying for the rented cops, and was told, “You are.” The badge on the private guards read “SecTec,” a Virginia-based security company that operates around the nation. A source said that SecTec often is used for the Hall's security. Their webpage includes Independence Hall as a client.

Some more Obamadrone police light types. Look at the guy in the middle. Probably very proud of himself, and looks like he enjoys being a bully...

When I was a boy, you know what Park Rangers were? They were amiable people with higher-than-average interest in camping who paid higher attention to your fire safety than you did, maybe.

And sometimes you paid them for your tent site.

TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED.

I WILL NEVER LOOK AT THEM THE SAME.

Man bows up at me like that and puts his hand on his firearm, there are going to be problems. Serious problems. Problems that require notice to relatives.

Most rent-a-cops are bullies that always wanted to be cops and could not get hired, or got fired. A few exceptions, but darn few. I also wonder where the money is coming from to pay them, I am sure the taxpayers are paying more to have these areas closed than it would cost to keep them open.

What a delicious irony, that this spiteful travesty of government would block the people from Independence Hall. The solution is to get a large crowd and exercise mass civil disobedience by pushing past the rent-a-cops. They are probably not authorized to arrest anyone and, if they did, it would make a great youtube video.

Mass civil disobedience is very powerful, and got tyrant Morsi out of office in Cairo and in India it got the Brits out of their country.

He’s reaching to turn down (or up) the volume on his radio, if you watch the video.

Turns out, “Independence” is a misnomer. If our Forefathers could see that the Liberty Bell is being held hostage by our Marxist occupied gov’t, they’d be firing cannon balls by now.

The “Reporter” is a wuss.

He should have announced he was going to exercise his First Amendment Rights to speak about the shutdown from a site that was shut down, walk across the street, and start making a speech.

Come ON Folks. This is where they stomp on you a little bit, and we’re going to do nothing?

Bergman asks a National Park Service ranger who was paying for the rented cops, and was told, “You are”.
Bergman then look at him and said good,”your fired”.

If I were there, I’d look at him politely, ask him if his company actually gave them any real training, and tell him that if he isn’t expecting to actually shoot someone, he should get his hand off his gun.
