Don’t get your hopes up. Brett Baier said that Obama did not reject the offer outright, he just wants the Republicans to show progress (cave) on the CR.

Then Boehner should define "progress" as demanding that Reid pass a Senate budget so that they can abandon the CR's and return to regular order.

That should be the House's final line in the sand.

Put it on Reid's shoulders. Senate budget and regular order or nothing.

The Senate has passed a budget -- totally on party lines.

The Senate budget is, however, so unrealistic -- calling for more expenditures than are currently scheduled -- that the House has refused to take it up or go to Conference.

Recall that, some months ago, the House voted to deny salaries to the Senate until they passed a budget -- which is what caused the Senate to finally act.

The Democrats are not about dealing in good faith.
