Or, have the patients discuss the situation amongst themselves. Some might sacrifice, others might share what machine capability there was to prolong even if not save their existing lives. Real life has that pesky God arranging just such occasions in it....

It is assumed that they are in the hospital and it takes time for the machine to be ordered and set up.
However if you can afford the lease it is recommended that you do get a home machine that allows you to clean your blood for a short time every day. It is much healthier for you.
