The early settlers named the town “Chicken” because they couldn’t spell “Ptarmigan”.

"Anyway, where was the sheriff?"

No sheriffs in Alaska. Boroughs are patrolled by State Troopers, but don't forget the sheer size of Alaska. The boroughs are HUGE tracts of wilderness with an occasional small village here and there, very few roads, and likewise for municipal services.

So, I guess the epa swat team had no problem getting in and doing the raid. Were they going to shoot any invasive weeds or something? :>)

The concept of clean water enforcement near Chicken seems a joke

The top EPA Alaska “official” claimed that they had been provided with information about human trafficking going on in Chicken. I kid you not.

More proof that to be a supervisor in fedgov you don’t need any intelligence.

Who was dumb enough to give the silly idiots in the EPA guns?!?!?

SEVENTY federal agencies have armed police forces, not including military.

That would be a great idea - their only “power” would be to send advisory letters to Congressional committees.

Of course, that would mean Congress would actually have to do its Constitutional job and not slough it all off onto Executive agencies.

The EPA doofus claimed they had info that there was human trafficking going on over the Canadian border. It was the Alaska Environmental Crimes Task Force that was involved in the raid. Go to thr Alaska Dispatch website for the whole ridiculous story.
