McCain To Fox News: No, The Shutdown Is The GOP's Fault
TPM ^

Posted on 10/11/2013 9:54:23 AM PDT by Arthurio

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) channeled his inner-maverick Friday during an appearance on Fox News Channel, repeatedly reminding the conservative network that the government shutdown was brought about by the quixotic effort to halt the Affordable Care Act.

When anchor Martha MacCallum asked him about the White House's handling of the suspension of death benefits to military families, McCain said that while the administration deserves blame it was a GOP-induced shutdown that caused the problem in the first place.

I would, of course, have to thank him for what he did for our country in Vietnam before ripping him six or seven new ones.

Is McCain walking around in a furry hat speaking with a Russian accent and pretending to be in the KGB?

I’ll post what I tell every RNC solicitor who calls askng for donations:

I will give the RNC my money when they publically kick McCain & Graham out of the party and fund their next primary opponent.

Listening RNC?

It isn’t that he is useless to the Party. A lot of them are useless.

It’s a problem that he is working against the party that is hurting us. He is working against Americans. It’s like a Daisy chain up there, Obama bends over and Harry Reid sticks his head in ,Pelosi sticks her head in Harry’s, then Hoyer sticks his head in Pelosi’s, then John McCain sticks his head in Hoyer’s, then it goes on with Graham, McConnell, Hatch , Chuck the schmuck on and on, until half the Congress is stuck together head to rectum like a train.

Benedict Arnold had a stellar war record (for a while) including being wounded in the service of his (former) country.

Just sayin'

*Why doesn’t he just switch parties and be done with it?*

I don't think the Dems are gonna be Left enough for him.

He needs to find a party that's left of the Amerikan Communist Party.

Maybe even farther left than whatever party, or cult, that Janeane Garofalo and Bill Maher belong to.

Notice how the Democrats don’t have any mega-backstabbers like John McCain. They know how and when to keep their mouths shut. It is obvious to all that that this is Old Guard trying to keep the New Guard (Ted Cruz and others) from rising politically. Old guard is jealous of the fresh new ideas plus it disrupts their campaign fund raising efforts when conservative money is not going to various Republican campaign committees. Instead it is going direct to the Ted Cruz types or to the organizations that support them

I’ll bet McCains wife votes liberal and Democrat

Well John, when you entered Congress the national debt was less than 2 trillion dollars. It is now going past 17 trillion and you don’t see any reason to slow down now. Thank god there are people unlike yourself that think it’s time to change the trajectory. Mr McCain your ignorance knows no bounds.

*McCain is just a total POS. The son of a bitch should just join the Democrat party or get the hell out of Washington.

He is useless to the party.*

Isn't he the gut who ran against Obama in 2008 and said:

“Please, please vote for Mr. Obama. I'm not worthy!”??

The really sad part is after McNuts private meeting with mac daddy he sold his running mate out.

Boy it must have been a great deal, or maybe not so great as McNut has the leanings toward back stabbing anyway.

But then again maybe it was better that he did not become POTUS.

So does John. I wouldn't be surprised if he did vote for Obama both times.

So by that WARPED logic, even when it is their fault..........it’s still our fault. What a pizza chit.

Why doesn’t he just switch parties and be done with it?

Because he can do more damage by pretending to be a Republican.

My contempt for McCain is so far off the chart..., I’d have to add ten pages up and across to cover it.

And the state that put this individual back in office..., just wow.

*McLame is still channeling Ted Kennedy.*

He must be as drunk as Unca Teddy or he wouldn't utter such nonsense.

Or maybe he's trying to quit drinking and he's saying these things under the influence of heavy duty delirium tremens.

Did he mention anything about turning the GOP symbol pink?
