We r going to look like complete fools if we get nothing out of the deal! What r we supposed to say to those on the other side? They have come this far, why fold now? Who cares what the press says? Maybe other Freepers see something I don’t?
Much of the public cares what they press says. And yes, that does mean they are obscenely uninformed and gullible, but wishing for that to change is tantamount to wishing for a Victoria’s Secret model to walk into your house tonight and make a marriage proposal.
There has to be better articulation from conservatives from the grassroots level all the way up to the federal level. Conservative/libertarian intellectuals, as examples PJ O Rourke and Thomas Sowell have pointed out ad naseum. And the fight for more legit leaders representing us in the House and Senate next year must intensify REGARDLESS of how this plays out.
Who says we'll get nothing?
