Peter King exemplifies the Republican party. He, and his buddies (members of the good ole boy club) can’t stand the fact that the voters have “infested” the party with some actual conservative (and moral) representatives who actually represent the people...not the club.
They have been in office for so long that they think they actually OWN the Republican party and these young “upstarts” don’t pay the proper respect to “their betters” in the party.
When I worked in the government I remember many times that I was called a “boat rocker” or “you don’t row the boat with the rest of us” or simply “you are a troublemaker.”
The only reason I was disliked (or feared) was the fact if I saw something wrong, I pointed it out and refused to do it.
I was in management and after 8 years I quit and started my own business.
It is apparent that the Republican-E hates anyone who “rocks the boat” and who may actually threaten their standing with special interests and crony capitalists.
Looks like I will be calling kings office.
