Wow, they have to single out one family saving $400, if it's even true.

Of course, they haven’t told us how much of a subsidy he’s receiving, nor whether his deductible has changed. I would bet he’ll be looking at a substantial increase.

That has to include the subsidy. I ran the numbers and it looks pretty ugly for anybody on a silver or bronze plan. You are basically paying $900-$1100 a month for catastrophic coverage on a family.

Rikhi was overjoyed to learn that he could offload $400 a month onto the American taxpayers.

Exactly. Is he receiving a subsidy? I asked an obama supporter who is paying those subsidies, and she said, “The people who pay penalties”. She honestly believes that people who refuse to buy insurance will voluntarily pay their penalty!

I would love to know if he is receiving a subsidy!

The whole problem with that idea is where did that $400 come from?

From you and I FRiend.

Yes, I’ve been notified that my insurance is no longer available. From the quick check that I’ve done, I’ll pay nearly the same amount, but the deductible goes from $5k to $6250 for a Bronze-tier plan.

I have no doubt the rate will skyrocket in a year or two.

Right - now go and find a hospital or doctor that will accept ObozoCare insurance.

And (if the story is even true), it is only going to cost 100 million people an extra thousand a month to pay for that guy’s $400 savings.

Woo Hoo!

Wait, are you saying the whole system is predicated on people not buying it and paying penalties? What if everyone bought and there weren't penalties?

I've seen MLM with more sound business plans.

It’s only fair. Punish the many to help the very few.

And the coinsurance, deductibles, and copays in the new plan limit payouts until they are met. Which is $6,000 each family member, or $10,000 per family max.

So actually he's way in the hole with his new plan.

Ever since the Mercury News story about the real situation - people seeing massive increases in their costs - the California Propaganda Machine has been running full tilt.

All the markers are being called in and there's a happy talk campaign going on.

"Covered California" - run by the state - is running radio ads trumpeting the new coverage for all those uninsured "thanks to the new health care law".

They are spending massive amounts of taxpayer money to push Obama's agenda in nakedly partisan advertising.

And the far-Left networks are all in.

They could all have pre-existing conditions that made their previous insurance expensive.
