I came to the conclusion that the GOP just plainly does not share my views or my values, in any shape or form. This was proven to me when the Republican leadership and its slimeball beltway class joined with their lib pals to repeatedly trash and belittle Palin after 2008. Then it happened again, when it took all the energy and enthusiasm of the tea-party movement in 2010, and proceeded to toss cold water on it... all in order to pave the way for a Massachusetts liberal to clinch the nomination. A liberal who helped spawn Obamacare, and facilitated homo marriage. Now add the GOP’s dogged determination to pass amnesty and put the final nail in the coffin of America.

That’s it for me. The end of over three decades of support and affiliation. To my dying day, I’ll remember the backstabbing of Palin and the Tea Party, and curse the bastards of the GOP-E. Watershed moment.

You absolutely nailed it. Republicans no longer stand for, nor represent conservative beliefs and priciples. It has been this way for years but conservatives are finally having a “come to Jesus” moment.
