George Will in the ‘Hume seat’ today. I remember when he was the most (only?) conservative voice on a Sunday show, before the age of cable news. Just an illustration of how weak is the conservative attempt at conveying a real message.

Maybe George will note the absence of any meaningful conservative voice on the so-called “conservative network” and begin veering back to his roots. Or not.

Lemme take this one:

The RATs ARE fraud. Just watch their votes.

Now this is a fight to see who will be House Speaker and has nothing to do with representing the people. Candy is carrying the water as best she can, but failing miserably with the 3 against 1 debate.

If you have read Georgie Will you will know he is a moderate at best. He is from the Romney wing of the Party and has written against Palin and those types.

Today it was delivered nicely by Dana Perino.

Hysterical to listen to Corker say we need to act like adults and fold to the Dems like a good Repub. What a coward.

I apologize to the nation for sending this tool to Washington. We let him get reelected in 2012 by running two conservatives at him in our winner take all primary. Dumbest. Move . Ever.

But, the good news is that we learned our lesson

BeatLamar! Ground game

Conceding even a kernel of legitimacy to something like Obamacare—with its 2,000 literal pages and 70,000 tack-on pages of rules and interpretations — is a major capitulation to Marxism and a thorough abandonment of conservative (or even AMERICAN) principles.

Marxist doctrine of the Soviet period dictated that all laws be made deliberately long-winded, complex and subject to interpretations of the ruling State.

Thus, Obamacare is a Soviet wet dream come true, well beyond anything even the hardest liner of the Politburo might have conceived.

It is so slippery and vast a thing that Comrade Roberts was able to call it a “tax” for purposes of constitutional legitimacy and, conversely, Comrade Obama is able to bestow waivers as if it is some sort of OSHA or EPA regulation meant for farmers on Tuesdays and factory operators on Thursdays.

If a KGB strategist in 1968 tried to launch a longterm operation under the Red Horizon program to take over the USA that even fathomed such an achievement as Obamacare, he’d have been laughed out of Dzershinsky Square and packed off to an outpost in Siberia monitoring dissidents.

And yet here it is. Obamacare! The takeover achieved! So much so that Republican regulars address it as fait accompli. They just want to make it “better”—a Berlin Wall painted in alluring pastels with soothing music piped in?

Yuri Andropov dances in Hell!

Morning AB, All....

...sang at 8:30 mass, finally home, Ravens playing today.

As always, AB, thank you for doing this thread so dependably. I am at mass and pondering when it’s all over I shall go to FreeRepublic and boom, AB will have the Sunday morning talk show thread up and running.

And he did.

Got a great story about a little black cat....maybe later.

Working on that Communistic crap they’re trying to shove down our throats, Common Core....and always watching what’s going on.

Man, I’m psyched the gubmint is shut down. If Obamer thinks Americans are all upset...

he needs to think again.

The thing that distinguishes George Will from the libs is that Will knows better.

Obama's primary goal is the complete destruction of the GOP. It underlies his every pronouncement and move. He is committed to breaking the GOP by turning down every deal except complete surrender even if it means we have "default."

Obama wants to undo the sequester and increase spending while at the same time claiming credit to cutting the deficit to "just" $770 billion. We have had the highest five years of deficits under Obama in our history. The debt continues to increase.

Obama is banking on the RINOs splitting from the rest of the GOP, which will not only have an immediate impact, but a long time one. He wants to destroy the GOP. That is the end game.

I am old enough to remember the years when industrial unions could and did frequently ‘cause pain’ to the general community by going on strike. This ‘part of life’ ended during the Reagan years, so too many of today’s voters have no memory of those bad times.

Now industrial unions are almost invisible as they parasitically killed their ‘hosts.’

Today that same method of ‘negotiation’ - shut things down until I get my demands - is being used by government socialists to force pain on the general public. Can’t they see that the end result will be the death of American government as we know it, just as they killed our major industries.

Do they really believe that living in Venezuela or Cuba is really an improvement on our American Experience.

“...and begin veering back to his roots.”

And maybe his roots were only ever Beltway deep. A comfortable gig to be the voice of conservative opinion, in fact, only as rightwing as an establishment liberal Republican. Not a William Buckley or a Tony Snow, for example.

I don’t believe the kenyan will agree to any deal. Whatever Boehner offers he will just keep asking for more.

It’s true. There is not a single semblance of legitimate belief in such things as “good government” or “all boats rise”-think that once dotted the long line that comprised the Demovik Party.

We even make the common mistake of calling them “liberals.” They gave up that pipedream a LONG time ago in exchange for post-modern Marxism, the “gentle” police state they present as Nirvana.

Of course they know better—that’s what makes them diabolical criminals not just well-meaning, misguided idiots.

To me the ultimate telling comparison of American history is, on one side, all those founding fathers who lost everything as a result of their signatures on the Declaration and who ended up paupers and in miserable circumstances even in victory and 2) Harry Reid, Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, et. al., who entered their “public service” in relatively modest economic condition and are now just filthy stinking rich as a result of their open, vile corruptions.

But of course the “genius” of today’s Demovik is that he persuades the body politic and useful idiots that HE is the one opposed to the corrupt and wealthy! And the sheep baa.

Agreed. I just shut off the TV after hearing Noonan on the panel of the Stephie show blaming the GOP for the shutdown. The panels on Fox and now ABC are just infomercials blaming the GOP and citing the WSJ/NBC poll except Obama's 37% approval rating.

Where are Cruz and Lee on these shows? They are not invited because they are too articulate and conservative.

Exactly PB. By Robert’s definition, Obama was able to say who has to pay taxes and who doesn’t. How can that be right by any definition. Since when can one person be taxed while his neighbor is not as well as saying the House and Senate workers are exempt from taxes?

Yet the Three Pillars support it.

Obama’s primary goal is the complete destruction of the GOP.

$$$$$$$

Key motivation for Obama. He believes with every fiber of his being that to destroy his ‘enemies’ means killing the Republican party. Every action he takes is weighed instinctively on whether the action will help or hurt elected Republicans.

Examples: use of FEMA funds, vicious reaction to the BP spill’s effects on Gulf states that all had Republican governors.
