The dead-tree version of health insurance enrollment is turning out to be surprisingly popular.
In the 36 states that make up the federal exchange, paper applications will be reviewed by Reston-based Serco, which received a $1.2 billion contract to hire 1,500 workers to do the work.
Timothy S. Jost, a law professor at Washington and Lee University who specializes in health policy, said filling out paper applications does give people the sense that the process is underway, he said. But, he added: It will add to delay. It will add to errors.

That will be messed up too.
Wow. What spin from the liberal media.
Glitches.
The new word the media is using to avoid having to use “Obama Administration failure”.
Hey, it’s just a few glitches, folks. No worries.
What’s paper???
Right--and the Ft. Hood massacre was just a little workplace violence.
“I’m sorry, we lost your paper application so you will have to enroll on line”.
It will also add to expense you feckless idiot.
Fixed it.
follow the money, that contract equals 800k per Community Organizer
Well, it will “disenfranchise” seniors, minorities, low income people, etcetera. How dare they!
These people can’t go to no stinkin’ places to sign up!
Give me a break...
Will they need photo ID? Cause that’s racist!!!
LOL! I just love how the KommieBammyMedia continue to describe complete and total oKommieKare web site failure as mere “glitches”.
And I particularly love this particular article because it extols the benefits of paper applications, a “technology” from the past century (but apparently MUCH better than the government-run BammyKare web sites), because the paper applications give the IMPRESSION of progress even though they actually cause delay and errors. Oh, and at the bargain cost of ONLY 1.2 billion dollars, twice the cost of the original broken web site supposedly designed to handle hundreds of millions of applications. Lets see. Suppose 120,000 paper applications are submitted. Why, that’s only $10,000 per application! Still, 1.2 billion dollars for a few thousand paper applications might actually be a bargain compared to the web site if any of the paper applications actually make it through the process. On the other hand, ultimately the paper applications are simply typed into the same broken IT system behind the web site, so indeed paper applications don’t really accomplish anything at all except give the impression of progress.
So, if a few thousand paper applications cost 1.2 billion dollars to process, can you imagine what ACTUAL medical care is going to cost under Obammunism, that is, assuming you can actually GET any medical care and that it isn’t rife with delays, errors, and cost overruns?
If each worker signed up 1,000 marks that = 1.5 million = Fail.
